ACCIDENT & INCIDENT TRAINING //

As a benefit service to members, the AFAP offers comprehensive training on what to do in the event of a serious incident or accident. The training helps pilots understand:

  • The regulatory framework underpinning accident investigation in Australia;
  • Pilots’ rights, responsibilities and obligations in the case of an accident or incident, and;
  • The practical steps necessary to follow in order to protect your interests in the event of an accident or incident.

The training is provided free-of-charge by the AFAP's Legal and Safety & Technical officers, and is only available to AFAP members.

Knowing what to do (and importantly what not to do) in the case of an accident or serious incident is something every pilot should consider. By attending this training you are ensuring that you will know your rights and obligations in the case of an accident or serious incident. Your training may also be of assistance to colleague who finds themselves in a serious accident or incident.
