The Aviator Group is seeking experienced and suitably qualified Helicopter Pilots to join our flight operations team in Western Australia, Port Hedland FIFO.

The Aviator Group has established itself as an industry leader in the provision of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia. Aviator Group operates a modern fleet of Airbus H135, and Leonardo A109 in the provision of services to the maritime industry. Aviator Group also undertake Search and Rescue (SAR), helicopter charter and utility services to a diverse customer base. Aviator operates from multiple bases at Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, Newcastle, and Port Hedland. Planned growth includes additional bases, scope of operations, and aircraft including the H145.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The successful applicants will fly the technologically advanced H135 Helionix aircraft on HMPT services at the Port of Port Hedland. Company operations are conducted by Day and Night in the maritime environment, including NVIS operations. The successful applicant will be required to participate in the company check and training system and attend training with external training providers.

As most flights are in support of the Marine Pilot Transfer, the successful applicant will be required to operate over water for extended periods of time. Experience in this environment is highly desirable and current proficiency in this regime will be assessed prior to employment.

Candidates who reside in or are willing to relocate to Western Australia will be highly regarded. FIFO roster pattern is 3 weeks ON – 3 weeks OFF.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PRE-REQUISITES

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • CPL (H)
  • 2000 hours helicopter
  • 1000 hours command helicopter
  • 100 PIC hours Multi Engine helicopters
  • 25 hours night
  • Current IPC - SP (MECIR) helicopter
  • Offshore experience – 100 hours

Desirable Experience Attributes:

  • EC135 or EC145 Type rating
  • Marine Pilot Transfer (MPT) experience
  • Vessel underway deck landings
