The AFAP Women's Network held the AGM in the Brisbane office on Wednesday 6 June. In attendance we had members from each different council to get an industrial update from AFAP President Captain Louise Pole, network with one another and hear from the day's keynote speaker Dr Sarah Oxenbridge.
Dr Sarah Oxenbridge is a researcher in diversity, gender and workplace initiatives. She spoke to attendees about her research addressing barriers and challenges women pilots face working in aviation, and discusses how some of those challenges could be addressed to dramatically increase women's representation in flying roles.
