Airport Security Issues
The AusALPA security initiating working group (iWG) met on the 5th March.
AusALPA Domestic crew screening recent iWG activities:
- Still getting many reports in regarding inappropriate security experiences
- Next iWG meeting 2nd quarter 2026
- iWG reps met with Brisbane Airport Corporation regarding complaint from IFALPA re pilots being forced to check in overnight bags (US carriers)
Next steps
- Finalising Letter to airports where multiple reports coming in about
- Letter in development for pilots to send to local MP
- Templated Security reporting form for crew to send to S&T
