Helicopter Pilot – Charter & Aerial Work

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Helicopter Pilot to join our team for the upcoming summer season. Based in Hobart, this role involves a mix of charter and aerial work operations across Tasmania’s stunning landscapes.

The position would ideally be suited to someone based in Tasmania however a touring position would be considered for the right candidate. Contract term to be negotiated and flexibility offered around contract term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safe and efficient VFR operations across Tasmania
  • Perform a range of utility missions, including sling loads, powerline inspections, and remote site support
  • Support aerial firefighting operations as required
  • Execute charter flights and occasional scenic operations
  • Operate in rugged terrain and variable weather conditions
  • Maintain accurate flight records and ensure compliance with CASA and company procedures
  • Collaborate with ground crews and clients to ensure mission success

Essential Requirements

  • Australian CASA CPL(H) with current Class 1 Medical
  • Minimum 2000 hours total rotary wing time
  • Meets or exceeds NAFC pilot minimums
  • Fire Rating
  • Experience operating the Airbus H125/AS350B3
  • Sling rating with a proven background in long-line operations.
  • Low-level flying endorsement
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to legally live and work in Australia

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVFR rating
  • Previous experience operating in Tasmania or similar terrain
  • HUET and DG certifications
  • Familiarity with Oz Runways
  • Mechanical aptitude or engineering awareness
  • Bell 206 type rating
  • AS355 type rating
