Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced pilots to assist in fire detection activities within the Parks and Wildlife Service.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Pilot:

• Participates in flying operations in fixed wing light aircraft for fire detection, reporting and suppression.
• Other flying duties as directed by the Chief Pilot.

Selection Criteria (Mandatory)

• Evidence of an Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (A).
• Evidence of a current Class One medical.
• Evidence of a Tailwheel undercarriage endorsement.
• Minimum 10 hours Pilot-in-Command aviation experience of Tailwheel aircraft.
• Evidence of a current Aeroplane Flight Review (where applicable) with a minimum of 6 months validity to run.
• Evidence of a current Australian Security Identification card (ASIC).
• Evidence of a current Dangerous Goods Awareness certificate.

(Highly) Desirable Criteria

• Minimum 300 hours Pilot in Command
