Tenure: Seasonal (approx. 6 months), Full-time
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced pilots to assist in fire detection activities within the Parks and Wildlife Service.
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Pilot:
- Participates in flying operations in fixed wing light aircraft for fire detection, reporting and suppression.
- Other flying duties as directed by the Chief Pilot.
Selection Criteria (Mandatory)
- Evidence of an Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (A).
- Evidence of a current Class One medical.
- Evidence of a Tailwheel undercarriage endorsement.
- Minimum 10 hours Pilot-in-Command aviation experience of Tailwheel aircraft.
- Evidence of a current Aeroplane Flight Review (where applicable) with a minimum of 6 months validity to run.
- Evidence of a current Australian Security Identification card (ASIC).
- Evidence of a current Dangerous Goods Awareness certificate.
(Highly) Desirable Criteria
- Minimum 300 hours Pilot in Command
