Our Fixed Wing team operates four bases in Brisbane, Cairns, Horn Island and Mount Isa and is embarking on significant growth with the addition of 5 new King Air 360 and 2 brand new, first in country Gulfstream G280 Aircraft. Due to this growth, we are seeking experienced Training and Checking Pilots based in Brisbane and Cairns. Our team of highly trained personnel provides services for dignitary transport, organ retrieval, correctional, police and other government support tasks. The successful candidate will fly single pilot and/or two-pilot aircraft under instrument flight rules (IFR) and will facilitate and conduct high quality training and checking to support QPS aviation operations.

3-year contract positions based in Brisbane and Cairns

Mandatory Requirements: Licences & Ratings

• Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL).
• Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL).
• Flight Instructor Rating (FER) – Multi Engine.
• Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating – 4 Renewals.

Flight Hours Requirements

• Minimum 4000 hours total time.
• Minimum 3000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
• Minimum 1000 hours Night PIC.
• Minimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC.
• Minimum 1000 hours Turbine PIC.

Certifications & Documentation

• Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Current Class 1 Aviation Medical.
• Hold a current Australian Passport.

Highly Desirable Qualifications: Licences & Ratings

• Flight Examiner Rating (FER).

Type Ratings

• G280 Type Rating.
• B360 Type Rating.
• C208 (or similar) Experience.
