Our Aviation team are on the lookout for an Assistant Senior Pilot to join their dynamic group based in Victoria. This position is responsible for providing support and assistance to the State Senior Pilots in the Southern Region (VIC / WA) through inspired leadership and assistance in the oversight of the operations of the Skydive Australia Flight Crew.

Based predominately out of the Skydive Australia Facility located at our Barwon Drop Zone and reporting directly to the State Senior Pilot, this pivotal role will have the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with governing regulations.
  • Monitor operational standards and maintaining training records.
  • Ensure flight crew licences / ratings / approvals are current and supporting documentation is provided to the aircraft administration team.
  • Support HOTAC with flight crew and student training and checking duties (this may include Base checks / re-currency checks / TOC training / issuing of JPA’s etc)
  • Communicate significant operating challenges and safety issues during department meetings to ensure all processes remain compliant with governing regulations.
  • Carry out pilot duties when rostered as duty pilot.

You will know you're ideal if you have the following skills & experience:

  • CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot Licence
  • 700hrs Aeronautical Experience with at least 100 hours turbo-prop aircraft experience
  • Previous experience in Skydiving operations with a Jump Pilot Authorisation
  • Leadership capability, including the ability to lead a team and build a productive team environment.
  • Sound knowledge of CASA & APF regulatory publications and understanding of company operational procedures
  • Experience in people management, including staff development and performance management.
  • Sound time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Computer literacy utilising Windows.
  • Current drivers’ licence.
