We are seeking an experienced full-time senior check and training specialist to join our fixed wing department based at Moorabbin Airport, Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of Australia’s leading aviation companies, supporting check and training and line flying across part 135 and 138 operations.
As our full-time senior check and training specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient training and checking for our entire department across all airwork, charter and freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proficiency checks and line training for company pilots.
- Act as a subject matter expert on SOPs, manuals and operational policies.
- Maintain consistency and standardisation across checking programs.
- Assist in design review and improvement of check and training syllabus
- Support day-to-day operational duties within the fixed wing department.
- Monitor and manage training records and reports to ensure department pilot certifications and recency is current and documented.
- Liaise with regulators to support the HOFO
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies as required.
- Work closely with our Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance department.
- Operate regular line flights safely and professionally, transporting passengers, crew, and freight.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Fixed Wing Type Specialist and Head of Flying Operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (A) or ATPL
- Command Instrument Rating – 2D & 3D (SE or ME)
- CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Current ASIC
- Prior Check and Training Experience

- Pilatus PC12 Flight Review/Endorsement
- Flight Instructor Rating
- Examiner Rating
- MCC
