About the role      
    
Aviair is seeking a highly skilled Instructor / Check King Air 200 pilot to join our team. You can expect diverse flying opportunities throughout regional and metropolitan Western Australia. This includes, day and night flying, single and multi-pilot operations, remote community services and Air Transport Services.

Training is provided through out approved Training and Checking organisation using a combination of synthetic and full motion simulators, which complement a detailed line training program.

Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include

In addition to flying duties, the Instructor Check King Air 200 Pilot will have the following duties as well:

  • Delivery of King Air endorsements as required
  • Conduct check and training duties as needed
  • Perform line flying duties as directed by the Senior Base Pilot
  • The safe and efficient conduct of their allocated student’s dual flying training and the generation and maintenance of associated flight training records
  • The checking of flight times against aeroplane records and, if necessary, correction of the pilot logbooks of their allocated students
  • Ensuring daily inspection certifications are entered into the maintenance releases
  • Guaranteeing that aeroplane flight times are correctly entered into the maintenance releases at the completion of each day’s flying
  • Accurate completion of company flight and duty time records
  • Ensuring that only authorised training is performed and that is conducted IAW this Operations Manual and the Part 141 Certificate
  • Ensuring that all Training and Checking activities undertaken are done so in a safe and efficient manner
  • The conduct and supervision of OPCs
  • The delivery and assessment of ground training courses and recurrent training
  • Reporting to the Head of Training and Checking on recommendations made and/or actions necessary to maintain or improve standards
  • Delivery and assessment of competency of Emergency Training for all Company personnel and assisting and advising training personnel wherever practical.

    In addition to meeting the minimum experience qualifications, you will need to demonstrate that you have enthusiasm, energy, a high level of personal presentation, and have excellent people and communication skills. You will also have a positive attitude with the ability to be solution focused in challenging situations. The minimum experience and qualifications are as follows:

  • CASA commercial pilot licence (A)
  • CASA class 1 aviation medical
  • 2000 hours total flying
  • 100 hours on type
  • Significant instructional or check pilot experience
  • Work experience in CASR 135, 138 operations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Powerful commitment to standards of training and safety
