Grade 2 Flight Instructor ME IFR


Merit Aviation, located on the beautiful NSW south coast is an active flying school and charter operation recently under new management. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and motivated person to join our team.

Merit Aviation, in conjunction with Merimbula Air Services provides quality personalised training from RPC, RPL/PPL through to CPL, ME and IFR. The fleet includes a Foxbat recreational aircraft, 2 x Cessna 172s, Piper Tomahawk, Beechcraft Sundowner as well as a Piper Seneca and a Partenavia PN68 for multi engine operations.

Two hours drive from Canberra and four hours south of Sydney, Moruya is located at the head of the Moruya River and is just 20 minutes south of Batemans Bay on the Princes Highway. We are looking for a motivated instructor with significant previous flying experience. The right person will be someone who enjoys the coastal lifestyle and will help to grow the business.

The position will be permanent part time initially, with a probationary period of 3 months after which the position will be offered as full time. Duties will include Flight training, ground instruction, charter flights, cleaning and detailing of aircraft, administration duties and customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • FIR - grade 2
  • MEAIR
  • Multi Engine Class Rating Training Endorsement
  • IR Training Endorsement
  • Current Class 1 medical certificate
  • Dangerous goods certificate
  • Previous charter (Air transport) experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Computer literacy, including Word & Excel
  • A demonstrated desire to teach others
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Excellence in customer service and communication.
