Australian International Aviation College (AIAC) is based in the beautiful seaside township of Port Macquarie on the Mid-North Coast of NSW. We deliver flight training for international airline cadet pilots to reach both CASA and CAAC requirements, and Diploma training for Australian students from ab-initio to CPL/MEIR.
AIAC operates a modern fleet of Diamond aircraft with FADEC controlled Diesel-Cycle engines, Garmin G1000 avionics, Electronic Flight Bags, and a High-Fidelity Flight Training Device.

The Position
AIAC is hiring full-time Grade 3 Flight Instructors, or G2/G1 Flight Instructors - ideally with Multi-Engine and/or Instrument Rating Training Endorsements.
The successful applicants will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight training to domestic and international students whilst monitoring student well-being. More senior applicants will also assist in the supervision of junior flight instructors as relevant to your qualifications.
What would you do:
- Supervise, mentor and provide guidance to junior flight instructors, where applicable
- Perform ground briefings and flight training
- Be thoroughly conversant with, and operate in accordance with, relevant CASR’s, MOS, CAO’s, our Part 141/142 Exposition, Company Standard Operating Procedures, flight instructor guides and other material relevant for the course being presented
- Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of students’ flying training and the updating of associated flight training records
- Project an appropriate professional image physically and verbally
- Ensure that duties and areas of responsibility are undertaken efficiently, accurately and within required timeframes
- Assist in the monitoring of student well-being and attitude, consistent with the development of professional airline pilots
- Abide by the company Code of Conduct, WHS Policy, Workplace Bullying Policy, Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy and all other applicable policies and procedures
- Undertake special projects from time to time when directed by the flying operations team
To be successful in this role you will require:
- An Australian CPL or above, with a Grade 3, 2, or 1 Flight Instructor Rating
- A valid Class 1 or 2 Aviation medical
- Ability to communicate with and instruct our international students using clear English Language
- To undertake pre-employment alcohol and drug testing to meet the requirement of AIAC’s and CASA’s Drug and Alcohol Management Plan
- A passion for teaching, instructing and sharing knowledge
- The ability to work cohesively in a culturally diverse environment
- The ability to lawfully work in Australia on an ongoing basis
- To hold or be eligible to hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor) or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Diamond Aircraft and/or G1000 Avionics experience
- FIR NVFR (Night VFR Training Endorsement)
- Instrument Rating Training Endorsement
- FIR DF (Design Feature Training Endorsement)
- Multi Engine Training Endorsement
- FIR FIR (Flight Instructor Rating Training Endorsement)
