QPC Briefing No 24 2025 – Long Haul EA Negotiations Update
Today the AFAP engaged in further discussions with Qantas. Importantly, additional positive elements have been proposed by Qantas directed at the AFAPs claim around distribution of blank lines and the implementation timeframe of any new EA.
The AFAP are aware that Qantas and AIPA have reached a broad agreement on the terms of a new package. At this stage the AFAP has not reached agreement and we have reserved our position.
The AFAP QPC will meet next week and consider the package overall and form a position at this time.
The AFAP QPC will utilise the time to carefully consider the additional elements provided today, in combination with the remainder of the package that we discussed with Qantas yesterday.
We will update members next week after the QPC meeting.
