QPC Briefing No 25 2025 – Long Haul EA Negotiations Update

QPC Briefing No 25 2025 – Long Haul EA Negotiations Update

We know many of you are eager for news as the negotiations approach their conclusion, and we want to keep you informed about where things stand.

We are now in the final stages of bargaining with the Company. The framework of an agreement is largely in place, but we are working to secure additional value before anything is finalised.

Importantly, the Company has made clear that it is seeking the QPC’s endorsement of any proposed deal. Before we make a decision regarding our endorsement, the AFAP are fine tuning several elements to ensure we can attain the best deal possible for pilots.

You may have seen communications from the Company suggesting they are close to presenting a deal. While that reflects their position, we will not endorse anything until we are satisfied it represents the strongest outcome possible for our members.

Once the final terms are settled, we will take the package to the QPC for deliberation. Only after that process will we determine whether to recommend the agreement to members for a vote.

Given the complex nature of this proposed EA, whatever the decision of the QPC, we will be providing a thorough member education campaign to ensure everyone clearly understands what is on the table and how it will impact them. This will also take time, but it’s vital every member is fully aware of the intricacies of this proposal to make an informed decision before voting.

We appreciate your patience and support. We know the waiting is difficult, but the final stages of bargaining are often where a lot of things are tied together and critical outcomes are secured. Our focus remains firmly on achieving the best possible deal for Long Haul pilots - one that is fair, sustainable, and worthy of your vote.

We hope to brief the QPC later this week, and we will keep you updated as soon as there are developments concrete to share.
