Today we met with EFA management in Sydney at the AIPA offices to continue bargaining for a replacement agreement at EFA.
The EFA pilot representatives and union employees attending the meeting were Simon Lutton (AFAP), Susha Semenikow (via Teams), Dean McMahon, Maddy Vaz (AIPA via Teams), Emma Woodford (AIPA), James Ahern, Nick Swanson, Ed Nell (TWU) and Aaron Kirsh.
Attending the meeting for EFA were Richard Hardonin (Head of Flying Operations and Chief Pilot Qantas Freight), Kate Bennett (Senior Manager Base Operations, Qantas Freight), Riki Cannon (Head of Commercial, Qantas Freight), Nathan Safe (Head of Qantas IR), Patrick Lawler (Qantas IR) and Karl Romberg-Yee (Qantas IR).
Overall, we are pleased to advise that there was positive progress made today. The Company has indicated that they will come back to us with a draft agreement (incorporating the points discussed today) within the next week. Providing this draft reflects the points discussed today we are hopeful that we will be able to reach in-principle agreement in the very near future.
We will wait to receive this draft agreement before releasing the details of todays of discussions.
Thank you again for your support as we work to achieve a fair and reasonable agreement at EFA.
