QPC Briefing No 7 2026
LH EA Draft
As pilots will be aware, after more than 4 months of drafting Qantas provided the AFAP Long Haul EA team the document last Friday.
We have been given until 23 March to provide Qantas feedback on the document (which has 2730 revisions tracked and now totals 346 pages) ahead of the anticipated release to pilots on 30 March.
The AFAP team immediately began the process of reviewing the document over the weekend and our focus is on identifying whether the changes reflect the in principle agreement reached between Qantas and AIPA on 17 October 2025.
While some additions have been communicated to pilots (such as the backpay of the implementation allowance to 26 January in the event of a yes vote), our role is to ensure that any other matters in the proposed document are explained to members prior to voting.
While the team focuses on this task over the next week, members may continue to seek clarification via the AskAFAPApp.
We will be meeting with Qantas later this week to review any issues and will communicate to members following these discussions.
