QPC Briefing No 8 2026
LH EA Draft
Following our update last week the AFAP team has collated a number of drafting items requiring a response from Qantas. These items range from minor typographical drafting errors to clauses that need to be clarified based on an apparent inconsistency with the in principle agreement and our prior discussions with Qantas.
We will provide our list of drafting items to Qantas on Monday, and we then have a planned meeting with Qantas representatives on Tuesday.
It is important we present these issues to Qantas and seek amendments and/or clarifications in the document before formulating a view as to the implications of these clauses for members.
Following this discussion the AFAP elected QPC members will meet next week and will communicate to members further at this time regarding the timeline. Our member communications will include any relevant matters that have arisen from drafting to ensure pilots are informed prior to voting.
We thank members for their ongoing patience and support as we approach the voting period.
