RDO Buy-Back Payments and Back Pay

We are pleased to report that, following several email exchanges and meetings between the company and representatives of the AFAP, Rex has agreed to return to the previous timing of RDO buy-back payments due under clause 42.7 of the Enterprise Agreement. Rex has advised the AFAP that they intend to make payment of the overdue portion of payments associated with the November roster, along with full payment for any buy-back of RDOs in the December roster, in the next pay run (7 December 2023). Provided this occurs, and future payments continue to be made in the pay run following roster publish (as the company have assured us they will be), we consider this matter is now closed.

Additionally, those pilots who were eligible for back-payments under clause 67.3 of the Enterprise Agreement should by now have received full payment of all balances due under that clause, following the triggering of clause 67.4.1 by Rex’s reported profit before tax for 2022-23. If any pilot entitled to such a payment has not received it, we encourage you to contact Rex.
