AFAP Update – Correspondence to Nauru Airlines
The AFAP have written to the Nauru Airlines Chief Executive (and CC the Head of Flying Operations) on Thursday 25 July 2024, regarding the ongoing concerns raised about Industrial matters relating to the Air Pilots Award 2020 (the Award), including the following.
- Award Hardlying Allowance & Accommodation Standards
- Periods Free of Duty
- Consultation on Rostering Matters
The AFAP have highlighted in the correspondence that a way forward needs consideration of the respectful procedures to resolve retrospective issues.
The AFAP are also seeking a response to develop options for the way forward for both the shorter term and longer term on the identified issues.
The correspondence also welcomes the establishment of a consultative mechanism via the pilots committee, the first meeting is due on 6 August 2024.
Nauru Airlines AFAP Pilot Group Survey
The AFAP reminds members to complete the survey if you have not already done so.
Please share this link with the pilot group and encourage all pilots to complete the survey to assist with progress moving forward on these matters.
It would be ideal to have feedback reviewed prior to the planned committee meeting.
