As you are aware, the vote for Skytraders' proposed enterprise agreement closed at 5pm AEDT time today. The AFAP has not heard anything regarding the result.
The AFAP has emailed Skytraders, requesting the result of the vote. We have heard nothing in response.
We are unaware if pilots have received any information about the result, but we assume not. Please correct us if we are wrong on this.
It is odd that Skytraders has not released the result. We expect that the proposed enterprise agreement has been voted down, but are happy to be corrected. The question is, by how much it has been voted down?
If it has been voted down, the AFAP will request a meeting as soon as possible with Skytraders to ask how it proposes to address the situation. If it has been voted up, then the nomal processes with the Fair Work Comission will then take place.
