Following on from our briefing earlier today, we have now received the Declaration of Results from the Protected Action Ballot.
All actions were approved.
In summary, 21 Pilots were eligible to vote. Of those 21 Pilots, 18 Pilots particpated in the vote. For each action, between 14 and 16 Pilots voted to support the relevant action.
The Declaration of Results can be accessed [
HERE].
Notwithstanding this good result, The AFAP hopes that it will not be necessary to take any protected industrial action and that the EA will be voted up. The EA has the support of the AFAP and we recommend you vote yes.
We remind Pilots that the AFAP has undertaken to the Fair Work Commission that it will not notify Skytraders of any industrial action until the vote on the EA has taken place. No Pilot is able to take any industrial action until the AFAP notifies Skytraders. If you take any form of industrial action now, that action will be unprotected and you will not receive the protections of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
