AFAP Update Pel-Air Joins the AFAP National Pilot Council

AFAP National Pilot Council - Pel Air Members Update

The AFAP update you on changes to your AFAP pilot council membership as a result of the recent sale of Pel-Air Aviation Pty Ltd (Pel-Air), acquired by the Toll Group (Toll).

Due to the Toll acquisition of Pel-Air this has resulted in all AFAP Pel-Air members to be transferred from the AFAP Rex Pilot Council to the AFAP’s National Pilot Council.

For those playing at home, members may recall that Pel Air had left the National Pilot Council to join the AFAP Rex Pilot Council back in January 2023. This previous change was due to the approval of AFAP rule changes to include Pel-Air and other subsidiaries, which no longer incudes Pel-Air due to the Toll acquisition.

The AFAP’s ongoing support will continue for Pel-Air members, working with your pilot reps to advocate for improvements to conditions. However, we expect that with new ownership this will lead to new relationships and engagement.

There are pending discussions between the AFAP and Toll that will lead to updates in due course, including what we hope are mutual goals to progress the enterprise bargaining negotiations towards a new agreement.

Should you have any queries please contact.

Yours sincerely,

The AFAP Industrial Team.
