AFAP Updates - Bonza Liquidation
The AFAP write to members with a brief update regarding the Bonza liquidation.
We note there has been some recent media regarding the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) position and other commentary regarding matters concerning Bonza.
The AFAP has been informed by Hall Chadwick (Liquidator) as of on Monday 14 April 2025, that the Liquidator position has not changed and will be pursuing outcomes for creditors.
The AFAP are awaiting on updates whether the matters will head next to public examination or straight into legal proceedings. The ASIC decision does not impact the Liquidators intention to continue to pursue these matters. Although it still remains unclear what those outcomes may or may not look like, the AFAP viewed this was important to update members.
A Committee of Inspection (COI) meeting is likely to be called by the Liquidator in near future, and the AFAP will continue to provide updates on available details.
