In 2010 the AFAP Women’s Network was launched with the aim of providing a forum to identify and pursue industrial and professional issues relevant to our female pilot members. Our Network events provide an excellent opportunity for members to learn about inspiring women in our profession and to network with other female pilots from all corners of aviation.

Planning is underway for AFAP Women’s Network events in 2021. Further details will be provided here.

Greater Brisbane Woman in Business of the Year Award 2019 w
inner Louise Pole - AFAP President & Qantaslink Q400 pilot - also won the 'Creating Change' category. 

The annual Greater Brisbane Women in Business Awards Gala was held on the 27 September at the Emporium Hotel in South Bank. The event provides a platform to honour outstanding and successful businesswomen and industry achievers. The awards encourage ambition, empower confidence and inspire new female leaders now and into the future.

The top prize of Woman in Business of the Year Award was taken home by Captain Louise Pole, for her work as President of the Australian Federation of Air Pilots, and as a Qantaslink Q400 pilot.
