In 2010 the AFAP Women’s Network was launched with the aim of providing a forum to identify and pursue industrial and professional issues relevant to our female pilot members. Our Network events provide an excellent opportunity for members to learn about inspiring women in our profession and to network with other female pilots from all corners of aviation.

Planning is underway for AFAP Women’s Network events in 2021. Further details will be provided here.

International Women’s Day 2021 – Choose to Challenge

Despite ongoing border closures that has made it difficult to host the full program of face-to-face networking events we would have liked to run this year, a networking and professional development event to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021 was held in Brisbane on 9 March.

Championing the achievements women pilots have made in the aviation industry, AFAP President and Women’s Network convenor Captain Louise Pole chaired the discussion in line with this year’s IWD theme Choose to Challenge.
