Chantaine is currently a B737 First Officer with Qantas. Her 14 year flying career has so far taken her through general aviation and airline operations in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Having experienced the challenges and uncertainty that can come with an aviation career, Chantaine developed an interest in pilot welfare and the broader impact the profession can have on our lives.

She believes aviation is about much more than simply flying the aircraft, and that career pressures, setbacks and changes can affect people in very different ways.

As a welfare representative, Chantaine hopes to be an approachable and supportive point of contact for anyone going through a difficult period, whether that relates to work, career progression or life outside the cockpit. She is always happy to listen, have a chat and help point someone towards further support if needed.
