Rotary Wing - Our Rotary Wing team has a fleet of five rotary wing aircraft and operates three bases in Archerfield, Cairns and Townsville. Our team of highly trained personnel includes pilots, air crew officers, rescue crew officers, engineers and aviation operations specialists who provide aeromedical retrievals, search and rescue and law enforcement support.
The Aviation Capability Group is experiencing significant growth and due to this growth, we are seeking experienced Helicopter Pilots based in Archerfield, Cairns and Townsville. The successful applicant will maintain a highly coordinated and cooperative multi-crew environment flying single pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) multi-engine helicopters on aeromedical operations. The successful applicant may also support search and rescue operations, counter disaster operations and other police and government-related tasks.
Full-time positions available at each of our Rotary Wing bases in Archerfield, Cairns and Townsville.
Mandatory Requirements:
Licences & Ratings
- Completion of Air Transport Pilots Licence Subjects (Helicopter).
- Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL - Helicopter).
- Low Level Rating.
- Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating – 3 Renewals.
Flight Hours Requirements
- Minimum 2500 hours total time.
- Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter.
- Minimum 200 hours Night PIC Helicopter.
- Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter.
- Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter.
Certification & Documentation
- Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Current Class 1 Aviation Medical.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
Licences & Ratings
- Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL).
- Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating.
Flight Hours Requirements
- Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations.
Type Ratings
Certification & Documentation
- Hold a current Australian Passport.
