HEAD OF FLYING OPERATIONS

Broome Aviation is looking to employ a new Head of Flying Operations.
We are looking for a strong leader to join our team in the full-time position of HOFO.
Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Flight operations oversight: All flight crew training and operational matters affecting the safety of all Company flying operations.
- Liaising with Regulatory Authorities: The HOFO is responsible for maintaining relationships with regulatory authorities, such as CASA, to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to obtain necessary certifications and approvals as necessary.
- Flight crew record management: Monitoring operational standards, maintaining training records and supervising the training and checking of flight crew.
- Flight Operations compliance: Ensuring that the air transport operations are conducted in compliance with the applicable regulations.
- Policy & Procedure development: The HOFO is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to flight operations.

Minimum requirements
- Australian CPL and current CASA Class 1 medical.
- 1000+ hours Total Time.
- 150+ hours Multi engine experience with Current MEA-IR.
- Previous single engine piston experience.
- At least 6 months experience in the conduct of air transport operations.
Desirable experience includes:
- GTE/C208 qualified.
- Previous time on any of the following aircraft – Cessna 210, 310, 404, 208.
- Previous Chief Pilot/HOFO experience in a similar working environment.
- Wet season experience.
The successful candidate will work with the current HOFO to learn the role and must be able to pass the CASA flight check/exams.
It is expected that those applying have a thorough understanding of the minimum responsibilities and duties associated with the role as outlined by the regulations.
