Sydney Flight College is part of Schofields Flying Club P/L, we also operate as Sydney Flight Charter and Sydney Flying Club. The Club has been in continuous operation for over fifty years, we are one of Australia’s largest aviation colleges and Sydney’s largest flying club. We operate a fleet of over 35 aircraft and conduct training from RPL through to CPL and ME CIR as well as FIR.

With a constant intake of full-time students, we are seeking new instructors. As a line instructor at SFC you will report to your team leader and the Head of Operations. This is an opportunity to work within an exciting growing business with great career progression.

SFC are seeking Grade 1 and 2 instructors based at our Bankstown operation in Sydney with future regional training facilities possible.

  • All FPC’s paid for by company and IPC’s for instructors employed utilising their IRTA
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting flight training within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFC’s syllabus
  • Conducting ground theory training and briefings within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFC’s syllabus
  • Maintaining electronic training files and all admin tasks associated with flight instruction
  • Responsible for supervision and mentoring of junior instructors
  • All other projects and tasks as directed by the Head of Operations or Operations Manager
Qualifications and certifications required:
  • An instructor rating with a grade 1 or grade 2 training endorsement
  • The following instructor rating qualifications: DF, MEAI, IR
  • A tenacious work ethic and high professional standard
  • A collaborative approach and can-do attitude
Desired Qualifications:
  • A Degree or Diploma Qualification in an aviation discipline. Preferably a Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot)
  • Current DG certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • SPIN (Spinning training approval)
  • Training and Assessment Certificate IV (TAE)
  • Experience in the management and development of online training resources
