SEMINAR & NETWORKING – DARWIN

AFAP fixed wing and helicopter members are invited to attend an information seminar and networking session in Darwin on:

Wednesday 10 June 2026
17:30-19:00 CST
Darwin Sailing Club
5 Atkins Drive
Fannie Bay, Darwin NT

The AFAP will present an overview of employment entitlements under the Air Pilots Award and workplace legislation impacting your employment as a commercial pilot.

The seminar will also include a safety and technical update and outline how pilots working in General Aviation (in both fixed wing or rotary operations) can best make use of the many services the AFAP has to offer, including professional development, mentoring and welfare services.

Representatives from the Australian Air Pilots Mutual Benefit Fund will also present on loss of licence cover available exclusively to AFAP members.

The event will provide a great opportunity for you to raise any issues or questions you may have, and to network with other pilots. AFAP and AAPMBF pilot representatives, along with industrial, legal, and safety/technical staff, will also be on hand to answer queries and provide input to discussions.

If you have a colleague or friend who may not be an AFAP member but is eligible to join (i.e. they are a pilot or training to become one), they are also very welcome to attend. Please feel free to forward this invitation to them.

Members who attended the AFAP seminar in Darwin 2024 are again welcome and encouraged to attend.

Refreshments will be served. For catering purposes, please RSVP by 5 June to events@afap.org.au or call 03 9928 5737.

Members are also welcome to attend the AFAP’s daytime Negotiation Training (10 June) and Accident & Incident Training (11 June) at the Darwin Sailing Club.
