Chris joined the AFAP in June 2019 in the Queensland office after almost two years as a Commissioner at the South Australian Employment Tribunal.

 

He also has industrial relations experience gained at the Public Service Association (SA branch) and the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (SA branch). 

 

In addition to his industrial background, Chris has previously worked as a police officer in England and, later, South Australia. 

 

Prior to this he was employed at the British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) where he was an industrial officer working with pilot-based committees representing narrow-body, wide-body, Concorde and regional pilots within British Airways.  


Early in his career, Chris was an Executive Assistant at the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Unions for eight years.
