Lachlan represents the AFAP and AusALPA at industry Safety & Technical (S&T) meetings, liaises with a range of industry stakeholders and CASA departments to progress a variety of aviation reforms and S&T matters.
In order to provide representative responses, he also coordinates and liaises with the team of volunteer S&T pilot reps in AusALPA and the broader AFAP membership.
Since the start of 2020, Lachlan has been a member of the IFALPA Fatigue Management Working Group (FMWG) and is currently a co-chair of the FMWG.
Lachlan has experience as an airfield safety officer and a pilot in both regional airlines and General Aviation.
He joined the AFAP in the S&T team in 2017 and has been a member of the Federation since 2008.
